Introduction

The following awards are available to faculty members interested in research, lecturing, teaching, mentoring, or a combination thereof while also traveling for varying periods of time. Category: Fulbright Distinguished Chair Awards

The Fulbright Distinguished Chair Awards consist of approximately 40 distinguished lecturing, research, and lecturing/research awards. The awards range from three to 12 months and are a prestigious appointment. For more information on applying and eligibility, visit the website here.

Category: Fulbright Global Scholar Award

The Fulbright Global Scholar Award allows a wide range of scholars to propose research or combine teaching and research. Topics must benefit from a global perspective. The project must include at least two separate world regions, and scholars typically work within two to three countries. Category: Fulbright Flex Awards

The Fulbright Flex Awards are designed for scholars who require multiple short-term visits to a host country over two years. This option is available for scholars interested in research, teaching, or both in 63 different countries or two world areas. Scholars will participate in seminars, act as a mentor to students, and are encouraged to engage with the local community to develop connections and collaborations. For more information on applying and eligibility, visit the website here.

Category: Fulbright-Hays Program

The Fulbright-Hays Programs awards grants for faculty research, group projects, and seminars in designated social sciences or humanities fields. Category: Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program

The Core Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program supports teaching and/or research for two to 12 months. Programs are active in more than 125 countries for faculty, administrators, and professionals of all disciplines. The Fulbright NEXUS Regional Scholar Program fosters collaborative and multidisciplinary research to address Western Hemisphere regional issues for tangible results.
