Memorial Grove Dedication Ceremony

FSU Dedicates Memorial Grove

Members of the FSU community gathered on Thursday, Nov. 12th, to dedicate a new space to the memories of students, faculty and staff who are no longer with us.

Memorial Grove, located across the street from Larned Hall, is a space for the community to come together in times of tragedy. It features a sun dial, four granite benches, two maple trees and a brick pathway. The ashes of Asako Mazawa, an international student from Japan who died in a 1997 motorcycle crash, were also reinterred on the site.

A detailed story on the ceremony that ran in the MetroWest Daily News can be found here.

SILD Winter Coat Drive

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 30th, after the Thanksgiving break, and running until Tuesday, Dec. 15th, bring your coats to donate to the box located in the McCarthy Center lobby.

All coats will be donated to the Jordan's Furniture and Anton's Cleaners winter clothing initiative, which dry cleans donations before distributing to those in need.
