Framingham State Launching a Graduate Degree in Organizational Leadership

Jan 23, 2020

Framingham State University is preparing to launch a new Master of Science Degree this fall designed for students who recently completed their bachelor’s degree and are looking for future careers in leadership and management roles.

The Master of Science with a concentration in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) is ideal for students with limited professional experience. This is in contrast with the University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, which are designed for working professionals seeking to move up in their careers.

"The MSOL is a further qualification for talented and ambitious people who perceive their bachelor degree as not being a sufficient competitive differentiator in the workplace for their chosen early career plans," says Dr. Steven Moysey, who coordinates the University’s MBA and MSOL programs.

One of the more exciting aspects of the new program is its focus on the future of business in a climate dominated by Artificial Intelligent (AI). Courses include Leading in the Age of AI, Innovation and Managing Disruptive Technologies, and Evidence Based Management.

"The MSOL is a forward looking program that recognizes the need for both students and employers to be equipped to operate in the changing needs of the workplace due to the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence and the associated areas of business and data analytics," says Dr. Moysey, who collaborated with industry experts in Human Artificial Intelligence Interface to develop several of the course offerings.

Students can begin enrolling in the new program this spring, with classes beginning in the fall. For more information, click here.
