Women's Basketball Wins First MASCAC Title

The top seed Framingham State University women's basketball team received 27 points from Tournament MVP Mary Kate O'Day '20 as the Rams defeated third seed Worcester State 66-51 in the championship game of the 2020 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Tournament at the Athletic Center on February 29th.

With the victory, the Rams win their first MASCAC Tournament Title and establish a new single season record for victories with 22. The Rams receive the MASCAC's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.

The team finished 22-5 overall, including a perfect 14-0 record against conference opponents. In addition to Mary Kate O'Day, the team was led by this year by senior Emily Velozo '20 and freshman Flannery O'Connor '23.
