Student Community Health Commitment – August 3rd

Hello FSU Student,

I hope you are enjoying the summer and looking forward to joining us for the academic year. As we prepare for the start of the semester we are encouraging our community to work together to stay informed and make choices to protect each other. Between now and the start of the semester I hope you will regularly check and respond to your FSU email and FSU social media sites, ask for assistance if you and your family have questions, and join us at the Community Town Hall on Tuesday, August 4th at 1:30 (announced in the President’s email on July 23rd).

FSU students remain the center of all we do. We will continue to support students in a multitude of ways as some return to campus this fall and others attend virtually. Our staff will continue to help students answer questions and connect with supports and engagement opportunities, including counseling and health care, financial assistance, academic support, access to technology, and connection with events and programs. Over the next few weeks we will be actively engaging in social media to share tips for success including launching a new web page, Student Guide for the Return to Campus.  Each week we will focus on one of four areas: academic success, socializing safely, on-campus know-how, and self-care to assist you with Navigating Fall 2020.

All students coming to campus are required to sign the FSU Student Community Health Commitment to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 on our campus. This agreement emphasizes each student’s role in actively protecting the health and safety of every member of our campus and local communities. I encourage you to sign it today.

Take care,

Dean Nowak Borrego
