Weekly Testing Update – February 11th, 2021

Dear FSU Community,

The University administered 756 COVID19 tests on Monday and Tuesday of this week, resulting in two positive results. Contact tracing of close contacts began immediately. All of our latest data is now viewable on our COVID19 Dashboard.

We have gotten off to a strong start with our testing results this semester, which is great news, but it's important to be aware that other colleges in Massachusetts are currently on lockdown as they deal with outbreaks. We must continue to be vigilant with our testing, contact tracing, and safety protocol compliance.

Please note that Monday, Feb. 15th, is President's Day, so testing next week will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesday, Feb. 17th from noon to 4 p.m.

The University has updated its COVID19 Plan for a Return to Learning and Working on Campus for the spring semester. I'm grateful to everyone who continues to work so hard on these plans and encourage members of our community to review it.

As always, keep wearing your masks, practicing good hygiene and social distancing, and avoiding large gatherings. Monitor your health daily, and if you are showing any symptoms, no matter how mild, you should contact the Health Center.

Stay safe,

Javier
