Weekly Testing Update – January 14, 2021

Dear FSU Community,

The University administered 169 COVID19 tests on Tuesday, Jan. 12th, resulting in two positives. Contact tracing began yesterday. All of our latest data is now viewable on our COVID19 Dashboard.

With the start of the spring semester on January 25th quickly approaching, the actions you take now will impact your test results during the onboarding process. If you have relaxed your safety habits during the break, you need to start acting more vigilant. No one wants to begin the semester stuck in isolation.

Every student will be required to be tested upon their return to campus on January 24th or January 25th. You can sign up for your COVID test now through Medicat.  Also, if you haven’t already submitted your proof of receiving a flu vaccination through Medicat, you are nearly out of time. If you are enrolled in ANY on campus course or activities, you will be barred from returning to campus without documentation, per orders from the Baker Administration.  Click here for more information on the influenza vaccine requirement.

As always, remember to wear your masks, practice good hygiene and social distancing, and avoid large gatherings. If you are showing any symptoms of COVID19, no matter how mild, you should contact the Health Center at 508-626-4900.

Stay Safe,

Javier
