Weekly Testing Update – May 7, 2021

Dear FSU Community,

The University administered 726 COVID-19 tests this week, resulting in zero positives. All of our latest data is now viewable on our COVID19 Dashboard.

Everyone who hasn't yet moved off campus should participate in off boarding testing next week. While our case numbers have been very low, we still want to make sure that you don't unknowingly bring the virus home with you.

I want to again express how important it is that everyone who hasn't already signed up for the COVID19 vaccine schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Appointments are now readily available throughout the state and starting on Monday six of the state's Mass Vaccination Sites will accept walk up vaccinations seven days a week, with no appointment necessary.

We expect to have more comprehensive information regarding the University's vaccination mandate up on our website early next week. For now, I just want to stress that it's important that you not delay in getting vaccinated, as it takes between two and six weeks to becoming fully vaccinated depending on which vaccine you receive. Once vaccinated, you can upload your vaccination card and enter your immunizations into Medicat.

Everyone has done such a tremendous job keeping our community safe this academic year. We are down to the last week. Keeping following our safety protocols and good luck on finals!
