When I arrived at Framingham State I was unsure if this was the right place for me. After getting involved on campus, both in and out of the classroom, I soon began to fall in love with the community. In the classroom the faculty members create a welcoming environment that makes students feel comfortable in their learning and provides them with opportunities to fully engage with the subject matter being taught. I have made long-lasting connections with multiple faculty members thanks to their dedication to the students and their desire to see us succeed in the field of psychology.

Going into my senior year as a psychology student, I now have the chance to conduct my own research, assist with faculty research, and find what I am truly passionate about through my coursework.

Outside of the classroom I have been able to make life-long friendships, gain important leadership skills, and make great memories on this campus. Being a member of the women’s soccer team, a member of the Honors Program, secretary of Psi Chi National Honor Society for psychology students, and a resident assistant has taught me how to manage my time and plan ahead. By getting involved on campus and taking advantage of the wonderful leadership opportunities that Framingham State has to offer, I have been able to strengthen my ability to work with others and create close bonds with numerous students and faculty. Framingham State has provided me with all the tools I need to complete my bachelor’s degree and prepared me to continue on in my education as I go on to complete my master’s after graduation.
