Political Science

Estefania Mangue

I came to Framingham State as a sophomore transfer with my heart set on studying politics, but at FSU I've been able to explore other interests. I found a love for Communication Arts in Professor Caffrey's Drama Workshop class, and a love for Sociology, which I made my minor. My senior year I had the privilege of interning at the Framingham District Court. The summer of my junior year I had the opportunity to intern with FSU's Center for Inclusive Excellence managing the center's social media accounts, which helped me build skills in social media management. I hope to utilize these skills after graduation, as I begin an internship with a marketing company near Framingham.

My favorite thing about FSU is that I've been able to explore all my interests, rather than staying glued to my Political Science major. In my time at FSU I have been a part of several clubs such as Diversity Dance Crew, Music Appreciation, and the newly formed club M.I.S.S. (Motivation, Intersectionality, Sisterhood and Solidarity), which helped me build long-lasting friendships and a "FRAMily" of my own, which is important to me being an international student so far from home.
