Biology, Concentration in Wildlife Biology

Julia Barrone

After graduation, I would like to gain more experience in the field. For a career, I’m interested in working with wildlife and I hope to eventually become a certified Wildlife Biologist. I was an intern at Drumlin Farm during summer 2017 and I learned a great deal about captive wildlife husbandry and care, as well as the importance of pubic education regarding wildlife.

I’ve worked as a biology lab assistant since freshman year and I’m currently a second year supplemental instruction (SI) leader for Dr. Simon’s Genetics class. I’m Treasurer of Wildlife Club and President of Equestrian Club. I work in collaboration with club officers to educate members and the campus community by planning fun, educational campus events. I’m also a member of the Honor’s Program at FSU and will complete my honors thesis in spring 2018.
