The diversity of the student body and the variety of opportunities to get involved put Framingham State University as my #1 school choice. Now, I am the president of Students of Caribbean Ancestry (SOCA), secretary of Latinxs Unidos N' Accion (LUNA), an Orientation leader, and upcoming Administrative Resident Assistant of Larned Hall.

Framingham State's dedication to anti-racism and inclusion motivates me to fight for social justice, which is embedded in the curriculum in my Sociology major. In spring 2022, I took a Nonprofit Giving course with Dr. Ira Silver in which our class gave $10,000 to Legendary Legacies, a nonprofit addressing the opportunity divide for people who have been formerly incarcerated. My passion for social justice extends into the career I want after college. Social justice is my life-long commitment that began at Framingham State University.
