Academic Coaching

What is Academic Coaching?

Academic coaches work closely with students to define goals and create academic plans for student success.  Academic coaches also help students improve academic skills including, but not limited to:

  •          Time Management
  •          Study Skills
  •          Note Taking Skills
  •          Test taking strategies
  •          Goal setting
  •          Motivation

Who should meet with an Academic Coach?

Professional academic coaching is available to all Framingham State students.  Academic coaching is especially helpful for students who want to improve, or maintain their academic success.

What happens in an Academic Coaching session?

An initial academic coaching session is about an hour.   The academic coach will spend some time getting to know the student, their strengths, and academic goals.   When appropriate, academic coaches may refer students to other CASA or campus resources.
