A2B STEM Transfer Summer Bridge Program

Are you a STEM student transferring to Framingham State University?

Our free A2B STEM Transfer Summer Bridge Program is available to any Massachusetts community college STEM graduates with an Associate’s Degree who have been accepted for transfer to Framingham State University’s College of STEM for the Fall 2019 semester.

During your first two weeks as an A2B Fellow you will participate in a credit-bearing upper level research seminar (iSTEMs) and a Third Year Program (Rams 303) led by faculty from each STEM major to foster communication, relationship building and integration into FSU. You will receive academic advising and access to academic resources, financial aid and scholarship guidance, information on campus resources such as health services, employment and student government and peer group instruction and mentoring from upper level STEM students. Lunch in the FSU cafeteria will be provided every day and the program will culminate in a family dinner. Individual mentoring and advising continues throughout the school year. Students who complete the program will receive a stipend for their participation.

Earth Science Major

I came to Framingham State as a STEM scholar knowing that I want to teach science in the future. The faculty here push me to do my best and give me the motivation to do well. From the start I had a desire to get involved on campus and help other students. I have a work-study job in the Dean of Students Office, I'm involved in my residence hall council as a floor representative, and I'm a mentor in the University's PLUS program, which provides tools, resources, and a supportive community for first-year students.
