Where is my class?
Blackboard – The Virtual Classroom
Blackboard is the Learning Management System used at Framingham State University for all online Web-based courses. Students find Blackboard easy to use and easy to access anywhere there is an internet connection.
Prior to the beginning of your course your will receive a detailed message with your user name, password, and login instructions. If the message does not arrive, a request may be reported online at myIT.framingham.edu, by phone 508-215-5906 or in-person (Technology Resource Center –TRC) in the lower mezzanine of the Whittemore Library.
How do I get started?
Go to: http://framingham.blackboard.com to access the Blackboard login page. Enter your user name and password in the login boxes.
To access your course site: Click the course title under Courses in which you are enrolled link, located on the right side of your home page.
What if I need help?
Service interruptions, issues with a Blackboard tool or frequently asked requests may be reported online at myIT.framingham.edu, by phone 508-215-5906 or in-person (Technology Resource Center –TRC) in the lower mezzanine of the Whittemore Library.
If your question is pedagogical, involves student work or is related to course design strategies, you may also contact the Education Technology Office by phone 508 626-4927, email eto@framingham.edu or stop by the office in Hemenway Hall 105 or 109 to consult with a member of the team.
What if I need to withdraw from a course?
In order to withdraw from a course you must contact Paula Hogard at phogard@framingham.edu.
You will receive a failing grade (“F”) if you do not officially withdraw from a class.
How do I get my grade and transcript?
To access your grade and payment information online through the secure Framingham State University portal, myFramingham, go to https://my.campus.framingham.edu. Enter your username and password.
To access grade information, click on Academic Information. Grades are located in the Transcript area of the page under Non-Matriculated Transcripts. Payment information is located in the My Student Account area. You may print these screens for your records.
Please note: Grade reports and payment confirmations are no longer mailed to students via US Mail.
If you have questions about your myFramingham account or login information, please contact the Framingham State University Student Helpdesk at shd@student.framingham.edu or 508.215.5950, during regular business hours.
If you need an official transcript, you may order it online through our Registrar’s Office at: https://www.framingham.edu/academics/registrar/requesting-your-academic-transcript. There is a cost of $3.00 for each transcript that is ordered.
My transcript says I have 0.25 credit. What does this mean?
At Framingham State University we report coursework on a per course basis. Each graduate course that is part of a degree program is four credits and is shown on the student transcript as “1.0”. Courses that are less than four credits are shown as a portion of “1.0”. A three credit course is “.75”, a two credit course is “.5” and a one credit course is “.25”.
