Program & Admissions Requirements

The certificate program is open to individuals who have earned a baccalaureate degree in a life sciences field (with coursework in statistics and biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, or genetics) from a regionally accredited college or university.

  • Submit an application for the Graduate Certificate online 
  • Applicants must have received a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.50 GPA from a regionally accredited college/university and must submit all official college-level transcripts. Applicants who studies outside of the United State must submit official transcripts and a course-by-course evaluation for US equivalency. 
  • Submit a 300-word essay describing your interest in the program and field, along with career goals

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the graduate certificate, students will:

  • Acquire discipline-specific knowledge about biotechnology and related sub-disciplines.
