Historical Note:

            Ruth H. Shirt Porter attended Framingham State Normal School from 1942 to 1946. Ruth was Home Economics student and a member of the class of 1946.

Scope and Content:

            This collection includes a letter and one typescript page of Porter’s memories of being a student at Framingham State Normal School. The collection also contains five photographs; some photographs date back to the mid-1940s, and others feature images of Porter’s Fiftieth Reunion in 1996.

Provenance: The contents of this collection were a gift from Ruth Porter in November 1999.
