How to Apply or Transfer for Bermuda Students

Applying to FSU is Easy!

  2. Please be sure to sign the application and fully complete all fields.

  3. Application Fee: $50 - WAIVED 

  4. Secondary School Record
  5. Request that your school send us an official, final high school transcript. 

  6. Test Optional Policy
  7. Framingham State is a test optional university and SAT/ACT scores are not required. Students may submit them as part of their application and official score results can be forwarded directly to the University. (FSU's SAT code: 3519 - ACT code: 1904)
  8. College Transcripts
  9. Submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities ever attended. If you are enrolled at Bermuda College at the time of acceptance, a final official transcript for that semester must be submitted prior to the commencement of studies at Framingham State University. All applicants must disclose all colleges/universities ever attended regardless of whether courses were finished or credit was received. A decision will not be made by the Admissions Committee without all official transcripts.

  11. Please list all courses in progress or courses that will be completed prior to enrollment at Framingham State University.

  12. Description of Activities
  13. Applicants who have not been attending college continuously since graduation from high school or have any gaps in their educational history must submit a résumé or summary of activities which accounts for all time periods since leaving secondary school.

  14. IB/AP/CLEP
  15. Applicants presenting IB (International Baccalaureate), AP (Advanced Placement) examinations, or CLEP (College Level Examination Program) examinations for college credit must have official results forwarded directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions for evaluation.

    • Waiver of Confidential Information* (PDF)
    • *This form is optional. If the applicant wishes to authorize the University to communicate with other individuals (such as sponsors, friends, siblings, etc.) about the status of their application, the Waiver of Confidential Information form must be printed, completed, and submitted with the application.

Transferring to FSU?

Admission Standards for Transfer

The following standards have been established for transfer students:

  • 12-23 transferable college credits and a 2.50 college GPA; or
  • Up to 23 transferable college credits, a 2.00 college GPA, and a high school transcript that meets the admissions standards for freshman applicants (SAT I required); or
  • 24 or more transferable college credits and a 2.00 college GPA. Please note that these are minimum standards. Meeting them does not guarantee admission to the University.

Transfer Coursework & FSU Academic Plans

Transfer credit is awarded for college-level courses completed at regionally accredited colleges and universities in the liberal arts and sciences as well as some professional courses.

  • Transfer credit is given for courses in which the student received a grade of C- or higher.
  • At the time of acceptance, applicants receive a preliminary credit evaluation followed by a course-by-course evaluation.
  • FSU student must complete a minimum of 32 courses, including courses for general education and courses for major and related requirements.
