Deadlines for Transfer Applicants
Mark your calendar with these important dates for admission and financial aid.
Application Deadlines
FALL ENTRY: MARCH 15 - EXTENDED TO APRIL 19
Spring entry: December 1
You must submit your application, application fee (or waiver), and all required materials by 11:59 p.m. EST on December 1 for spring admission and March 15 for fall admission.
Meeting the deadline will allow the Admissions Committee enough time to release your decision and help you prepare for the upcoming semester should you decide to enroll.
Note: Applications and required materials that arrive after the deadline will still be reviewed. However, in some cases your decision might not be released with enough time to enroll for your preferred semester.
Admission Notification
Notification of admission decisions will vary depending on when your required materials are received. For spring entry, decisions will be made from October to early January. For fall entry, decisions will be made from February to mid-August.
Admission decisions are released through the admissions portal, where you can check your application status. You will also receive a paper copy of your decision letter.
Note: The Admissions Committee may reach out while reviewing your file for clarification or to request additional information. Please regularly check your email to ensure you don’t miss any important communication. Your decision may be significantly delayed if you do not take action.
Transfer Credit Notification
We’ll evaluate your classes after you’ve been accepted. You’ll receive a Tentative Evaluation via email from the University Registrar approximately two weeks from your date of acceptance.
Your Degree Audit (course-by-course evaluation) will be available after you commit to FSU. When you’re ready to accept your offer of admission, login to the admissions portal and submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit.

Financial Aid
You can apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Using the FAFSA results, FSU’s Office of Financial Aid will prepare an aid package for you.
To be reviewed for priority financial aid, submit your FAFSA by the following deadlines:
- Spring entry – December 1
- Fall entry – March 1
