Are you an employer interested in collaborating with Career Development at Framingham State? Our office offers employers a variety of services to recruit and hire interns as well as entry-level and experienced professionals. We take pride in the strong partnerships that have been developed with employers from all industries and offer a variety of programs each year to support your recruiting needs.
Post Jobs and Internships to Handshake
Framingham State University uses Handshake as our career and internship management system for all undergraduate and graduate students and for recent alumni. Employers post jobs and internships, register for FSU recruitment events, schedule on-campus interview and share their hiring events on Handshake.
NOTE: Due to legal reasons, we do not post residential child care or tutoring positions to Handshake.
Promote Jobs and Internships to the FSU Community
Career Development sends a weekly jobs and internships email and a monthly newsletter to help share open positions with our community. We are also able to post your roles to our social media sites. Please email careerdevelopment [at] framingham.edu for more information on how we can help promote your open positions.
Request An On-Campus Information/Recruiting Table
For a small fee, employers hiring for part-time, full-time, and paid internship positions are able to register for a limited number of Information/Recruiting Tables at FSU during the semester. We will partner with our faculty career champions to help promote your visit in the classroom and offer a limited amount of catering options for your tabling event.
Please fill out our Employer Engagement Interest Form and provide your top preferences for dates. Your date is not confirmed until you receive an email from one of our staff members.
We Provide: A 6ft table, 2 chairs and access to electrical outlets. Catering.
What to Bring: A table and/or banner with your organization’s logo, handouts, information about internship and job opportunities. Optional: Giveaways.
Before Your Information/Recruiting Table: The positions you are recruiting for must be posted to Handshake prior to your Information/Recruiting Table. Please forward descriptions of the jobs/internships that you will be recruiting for to our office and we will include that in our marketing efforts.
Note: Once your date is confirmed, you will be responsible for managing this event in Handshake.
Connecting with Faculty, Courses, or Student Groups
Employers interested in recruiting from a specific academic department, including speaking in front of a class, or connecting with a student club/organization group can email careerdevelopment [at] framinham.edu (careerdevelopment[at]framinham[dot]edu). We will act as a liaison if the connection is welcomed by the group and is an appropriate match.
Volunteering at FSU Career Education Events
Employers and FSU alumni can volunteer to help with one of our career education events for students. Our events typically include informational interviews, panels, resume reviews and networking events.
We especially welcome FSU alumni to help with career education and collaborate with the Office of Alumni Relations on our alumni job shadowing and networking events.

Internships and Job Fairs
Career Development hosts in-person fairs each semester. Registration for all fairs takes place in Handshake. Please check our events on Handshake page for registration information and availability.
On-Campus Interviews
Employer with paid internships and full-time entry-level jobs are able to schedule on-campus interviews with our office. Please contact careerdevlopment [at] framingham.edu to determine if there are on-campus interview dates available.
Connecting with Our Office
We are happy to have a call to discuss ways to collaborate on ways to connect with FSU students to support your recruiting efforts. Please fill out this 3 minute information request form and we will follow up with you to schedule a call discuss your recruiting needs and determine the best strategies for recruiting FSU students. We are open to original recruitment ideas that you have found to be successful.
Employer Guidelines and Policies
Home Based and Family Job Positions: Framingham State Career Development does not post or share home-based or family job positions or door-to-door opportunities. This includes childcare, tutoring, pet care, in-home sales, domestic care, and home-based organization. Students and employers interested in this type of opportunity may utilize Care.com, Taskrabbit.com and Rover.com.
Third Party Recruiters: Third-party recruiters are not permitted to participate in any on-campus or virtual recruiting events unless they are recruiting for their organization and not for other clients or if they have received permission from our office. Third-party recruiters seeking to post jobs in Handshake may email our office to ask for approval.
Internship Policies: Our office adheres to the NACE Principles for Professional Practices and expects our employers to adhere to the guidelines set forth by NACE, the U.S. Department of Labor, and Framingham State University guidelines.
