Title IX Compliance Team

The Title IX Compliance Team is comprised of administrators from student affairs, human resources, legal affairs, athletics, and University Police, and representatives from Voices Against Violence. The team meets to review policy implementation and adherence, training for employees and students, education and awareness programs, and prevention efforts.

Training of Title IX Personnel

In compliance with the requirements of Title IX, 34 C.F.R. § 106.45 (b)(10)(D), Framingham State University requires and provides, or otherwise ensures, training to personnel serving in the Title IX Complaint and Resolution Process as Title IX Coordinators, Deputy Title IX Coordinators, Administrative Investigator(s), Decision Maker(s), Appellate Officers, and Informal Resolution Facilitator(s).

The University Title IX Coordinator has primary responsibility for Title IX compliance at FSU.  The coordinator also does intake of reports and complaints regarding sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking involving employees, visitors, vendors, and other 3rd parties and coordinates the investigatory process.  The coordinator can assist in making adjustments to work situations.

The Dean of Students does intake of reports and complaints about students as they relate to sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking and also coordinates investigations. The Dean can assist survivors in making adjustments to academic and living situations as well as provide process advocates.

The Title IX Coordinator for Athletics monitors compliance with athletic requirements under Title IX and coordinates the develop of policies and programs to support that compliance.

Deputies are available to take reports, explain the reporting process, direct individuals to resources, and explain victim rights.  Deputies may perform investigations of complaints as designated to do so by the University Title IX Coordinator or Title IX Coordinator for Students.
