Sara Sargent completed a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification program from the School for International Training (SIT) and will complete her EdM in TESOL from Boston University, in August 2024. She earned a BA in Education from Smith College. She has been teaching English as a Second Language since 2013, including teaching abroad in Peru and at language schools in New York City and Boston. Sara has also worked for several nonprofits in the Boston area. She is passionate about supporting adult immigrant learners and working for social justice in Massachusetts. She enjoys cooking new recipes, traveling and learning about new cultures, and spending time in nature.
