March 23, 2020
Dear Students,
We hope that you, your family, and friends are safe and healthy. COVID-19 has caused several shifts and changes globally, and on college campuses; The Framingham State Campus Ministry Office is no exception.
Campus Ministry staff members are working remotely, and responding to students via email (those contacts are listed below) as we all adhere to social distancing recommendations.
Blessings,
The Campus Ministry Staff
The Office of Campus Ministry provides opportunities to serve the religious and spiritual needs of all members of the campus community. The office coordinates religious services, educational programs, and volunteer service opportunities. The staff also provide spiritual guidance and counseling for members of the Framingham State University community who are dealing with issues of faith or morality regardless of religious affiliation.
Three volunteer chaplains and an interfaith specialist are available to assist students, faculty, and staff. A Roman Catholic lay minister and Evangelical lay minister are available two days a week, a Jewish Rabbi is available once a week, and the Interfaith Specialist is available online and via telephone. The chaplains also work closely with our student clubs, Catholic Newman Association, Hillel, and Christian Fellowship to provide exciting program and guidance throughout the academic year.
The chaplains are available to help students from any religious faith and from traditions that are not currently being served on campus. The chaplains also organize interfaith activities such as the annual Thanksgiving Dinner, joint meetings with non-religious clubs, and service opportunities. Additional Information may be obtained by stopping by the McCarthy Center, Room 516 or by calling 508.626.4610.
