Dr. Nowak Borrego manages the work of the Dean of Students Office and oversees the offices in Student Development. She also serves as the Title IX Coordinator for Students. Dean Borrego has worked in higher education for over 25 years. During her career she has worked in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management and has always advocated for keeping the student experience a priority in decision and policy making. Dean Borrego earned her Associates degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, Bachelors in Psychology and Business from the University at Buffalo, Masters in Student Personnel Work from Indiana State University, and her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Boston College. In addition to her work with students she enjoys family time with her husband, two children, and dog, experiencing new cultures when traveling, and any kind of art – dance, visual, music, performance.  She is a big fan of musicals.

David has worked at Framingham State University for over 19 years in various departments from Residence Life to Multicultural Affairs.  He currently works in the Dean of Students suite and helps coordinate the day-to-day operations of the suite and oversees Community Standards and New Student and Family Programs.  When he is not working he likes to spend time with his friends, four Godchildren, watching television, and reading.

Rachel has been working at the University since October of 2000. She began as the Director of Student Involvement and in 2015 began her role as Assistant Dean for Campus Engagement. Overseeing Career Services and Employer Relations and Student Involvement and Leadership Development, she firmly believes in the benefits of campus engagement resulting in career ready skills for graduates.  Rachel earned her BS in Psychology and Sociology from Illinois State University and an MA from Boston College in Higher Education Administration. In her free time, she enjoys any opportunity to travel and hanging out with her family.

Kay provides support to students struggling with food, housing, and financial insecurity.  In addition, she oversees commuter student programming and operations for the Rams Resource Center, Emergency Meal Bank, and Homeless Housing Pilot.  Kay comes to Framingham State with over a decade of professional experience in humanitarian affairs, higher education administration, and congressional casework.  She earned a dual bachelor's degree from UMASS, Amherst in Political Science and Chinese Language & Literature.  She earned her master's degree from Columbia University with a dual concentration in Economic & Political Development as well as Management.  On her free time, she enjoys home renovation, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Robin has worked in Student Development for the last 6 years, first as a contract employee in The Gatepost, CASA and The Advising Center before finding her permanent home in the Dean of Students Office.  As a working commuter student, she completed her undergraduate degree in English/Music at the University of Southern Maine and completed an HR Certificate from FSU only to return to complete her Masters Degree in the HR Management program.  Robin is proud to have been a commuter and Generation One student!
