IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SPRING 2021 SEMESTER:
Due to COVID-19 we have some updates for parking that should be noted for the Spring 2021 Semester. Please read over the information provided below.
Resident Students: This parking change is contingent upon everyone following snow removal instructions when announcements are made.
Resident students for the Spring 2021 semester will continue to park in Maynard Lot and Salem End Lot during the week as well as on weekends in addition to the Maple Parking Lot. These locations are in place of the Franklin Lot or Union Lot that Resident students are typically assigned to. This change will also apply to RAs for the Spring 2021 semester. This is a temporary change for this semester due to safety precautions for COVID-19. Please note that there will only be a shuttle running to and from Maple Lot. Maynard Lot and Salem End Lot are not a part of the shuttle bus route and students parking in these lots will need to walk to the campus. As a reminder, student parking is not permitted in assigned faculty and staff lots, even on the weekends, and ticketing can occur for non-compliance.
All Commuter Students:
All commuter students will continue parking in Maynard Lot and Salem End Lot regardless of if you are an Upper Classmen or a Freshmen. Freshmen students will not park in Maple Lot for the Spring 2021 Semester as this lot will now be utilized by Resident Students. Please note that University Police understand your permit may say “Maple Commuter” and know that for the Spring 2021 semester you will be parking in Maynard and Salem End lots.
What to do if you are going fully remote for the Spring 2021 semester and currently have a parking permit:
If you are no longer going to be coming to the University for classes and as such no longer require a parking pass you may fill out a form to get a refund for the Spring 2021 semester. To get a partial refund please go online to the University’s website to the Parking section which can be found in the drop down menu under Student Life. In the Parking section of the site please fill out the Lost/Damaged Permit Replacement form, selecting “No” where it asks if you will be reordering a permit. In the provided text field please explain that you will not be returning for the Spring 2021 semester and your account will be updated. Your current permit will be marked as no longer valid in our system and you will be issued a refund from Student Accounts based on the refund fee schedule, which can be located in the Parking section of the University’s website.
Snow Emergency Parking:
If a snow emergency is declared all Resident students should move their vehicles to either the Maple Commuter Lot or the Salem End Lot by the designated time provided. If a Resident student is currently in quarantine and cannot leave to move their car they should contact University Police at (508) 626-4911 with their vehicle information as soon as possible to avoid being ticketed & towed. Any vehicles that impede snow removal operations are subject to ticketing & towing at the owner’s expense.
