Suspicious Activity

Dated 3/1/2018

Over the past few weeks we have received reports from female community members stating they have been approached by unknown, non-student females. These non-students are engaging our community members stating they are from a local church looking to spread the word about "God the Mother." We have also been made aware that an unsubstantiated social media post is claiming that these non-students are recruiting for a sex trafficking ring. Through our investigation with other law enforcement agencies we have determined that there is no credible evidence to show any affiliation with a sex trafficking ring. We believe this to be an internet hoax. No connection to criminal activity has been linked at this time. The non-students on campus proselytizing are however a true fact.

University Police officials urge all community members to report any activity or persons that they believe is suspicious in nature to ensure the safety of the community.

If you have any information regarding these incidents, please contact FSUPD at: 508-626-4911.
