Transfer of Military Cedits

VALOR Act Academic Credit Evaluation Policy

Framingham State University respects and values the diversity our Veterans bring to our campus.  

As part of the VALOR Act, your basic military training earns you transfer credits.  Additionally, courses you took while in service and job related training are evaluated for transfer credits. Accepted transfer credits will be found on your transfer credit evaluation report.

Your military education and experiences will be evaluated for transfer credit based on the FSU's transfer credit policies. FSU accepts an unlimited number of transfer credits, courses to include College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST).  The transfer and acceptance of Military credits allow students to enter with a higher class standing.  This translate to these students having higher priority during course registration each semester.

Please provide:

• An official copy of your military transcripts
• • For the Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marines: Joint Services Transcript (JST)
  • For the Air Force: Community College of the Air Force
• Transcripts from any college-level work that you have completed
