Mission

At Framingham State University, we understand the transition from military service to civilian life can be challenging and we work to provide valuable resources to help balance the university experience with your career, family, and personal responsibilities. Through collaboration with many departments on campus and with Veteran and local organizations throughout the Greater Boston and MetroWest regions, the Office of Veteran & Military Services is able to provide exceptional support to FSU Veterans and Military-Connected Students. Framingham State University proudly offers a dedicated Veteran & Military Services Office, full-time staff member, and Veterans Center for our Veterans and Military-Connected Students.

Military-Connected Students are: 

  • Active-Duty Service Members
  • Members of the National Guard
  • Reservists
  • Veterans
  • Children or Spouses of any of the above

The Veteran & Military Services Office will assist with:

  • Enrollment Certification Questions
  • MA Categorical Tuition Waiver Questions
  • Applying for Education Benefits
  • Assist with navigating the FSU campus
  • Provide referrals to Veteran and family resources both on and off campus
  • and much more

You are very lucky in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to have so many resources available to you.  Not only is MA the only state to have a Veterans Agent in every city and town, MA is also the only state that has a Welcome Bonus. Contact our office for more information.

Located in Dwight Hall, Room 113. The Veteran Services Center provides a communal space for military veterans, service members, and their family members to study, socialize, relax, and watch television. The Veteran Center provides information about State and Federal benefits available to veterans. Framingham State University dedicated its student Veterans Services Center in honor of alumnus Michael Haskell ’76, a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps who died in combat in 1983.
