Maureen DeJong is the outreach coordinator for Adventures in Lifelong Learning at FSU, a program that offers short-term courses to adults over the age of 60 in the MetroWest Boston communities and beyond.  In her role as outreach Coordinator, Maureen conducts outreach to include new participants in the program, with a focus on socially isolated elders; in addition, she assists participants during registration and while the program is in session.  Maureen previously worked as an administrative assistant for the Advising Center and Family Engagement at FSU, as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Wayland MA Council on Aging, and as an administrative coordinator for several non-profit organizations. Maureen received her BA in English from Framingham State University; she loved being a continuing education student and is thrilled to be part of a program that fosters lifelong learning.  Maureen is an avid reader who has enjoyed volunteering her time delivering library books to homebound patrons. She enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes but is happiest spending time meandering through the woods and finding new birds to add to her birder’s life list.
