Art Gallery Exhibition
Make sure you swing by the Mazmanian Gallery in the McCarthy Center to view Shift – Space – Return, a group exhibition of five artists who delve into the depths of language and art. Shift, space, and return, all keys on the keyboard, also reference actions and metaphors that relate to the work in the show - shifting perception, creating and inhabiting visual and physical space, and the ways we return to ourselves and our histories. Curated out of our open call for artists based in Framingham, Ileana Doble Hernandez, Mary Kostman, Janet Montecalvo, Alice Ridley, and David Roane each use language in a unique way that connects directly to their message and their medium. With paint, print, collage, and paper, communication is made visual. This open call was curated by students Marcus Falcao, Eliza Gaston, and faculty Ellie Krakow, Yumi Park Huntington, and Keri Straka.
McAuliffe Center Open House
Alumni, family and friends are invited to the Christa McAuliffe Center between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, to interact with the Center's dynamic offerings, including planetarium programs across multiple disciplines and tours of the Challenger Learning Center with simulation of space missions.
Planetarium shows will run as follows:
- 2:00pm: Mars: The Ultimate Voyage (24m)
- 2:45pm: Big Astronomy (24m)
- 3:30pm: Undiscovered Worlds (30m)
