FSU Police Mission Statement
The Framingham State University Police Department is committed to fostering a safe, secure, and welcoming learning environment for all members of the campus community. We serve the university by upholding the law with fairness, respect, and accountability, while supporting the educational mission of the institution. Through collaboration, accountability, and collective effort, we work to fulfill our mission in service to the campus community. As members of the Framingham State University community, we work in partnership with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and our neighbors to promote trust, prevent crime, and respond effectively to concerns. We are guided by the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all that we do.
About the University Police
The heart of our department lies in its people. Our team comprises fourteen highly trained, sworn, and uniformed Police Officers, complemented by an Institutional Security Officer and three skilled civilian Dispatchers. From rape investigation to CPR, crime scene management to crisis intervention, our officers undergo comprehensive training to handle diverse situations effectively.
For added security, our Institutional Security Officers patrol buildings and grounds, while our surveillance system, equipped with cameras and card access systems, monitors residence hall entrances. Throughout the academic year, desk attendants further contribute to a secure living environment for our students.
At the Framingham State Police Department, we are not just enforcers of the law; we are partners in creating a secure and thriving campus community. Join us at FSU, where your safety is our priority, and together, let's make your university experience unforgettable.
FSU Welcomes New Chief of Police, Philip Di Blasi
