Alex McMahon is the Administrative Manager for the Center for Student Experience and Career Development. She moved to the U.S. at a young age, and later returned to Colombia for her higher education, where she earned a degree in Haute Couture from Taller Cinco in Bogotá. This time in Colombia allowed her to refine her Spanish skills and reconnect with her cultural roots.
When she returned to the U.S., Alex built a diverse career, working in both the mortgage industry, small businesses and the nonprofit sector. At El Centro de la Raza in Seattle, she provided homeownership counseling, foreclosure prevention education, and financial literacy services. Over the years, Alex has lived in Bogotá, New York, Seattle, Austin, and now Massachusetts.
Outside of her role supporting students, alumni, and the Center’s team, Alex enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two sons, often gathered around the table for card and board games. She also nurtures her creative side through drawing, painting, and bullet journaling.
