Professor Colleen Coyne joined the Framingham State community in 2012. In addition to teaching professional and creative writing courses, she also serves as the English Department's internship coordinator and as the website and social media manager for the Mancuso Humanities Workforce Preparation Center. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Minnesota, an MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a BA in Writing Seminars and English from Johns Hopkins University. Her professional experience includes nonprofit arts administration and freelance writing, editing, and proofreading. She has served on the the board of directors of Downtown Framingham, Inc., since 2017. Her poetry appears in literary journals both in print and online, and her most recent poetry chapbook, This Document Should Be Retained as Evidence of Your Journey, won the Jacar Press Poetry Chapbook Prize in 2020.
