History is one of my life-long passions. Studying history helps us to understand our humanity and develop empathy for others. I was drawn to study history because I found learning about the way people in the past lived fascinating, and I hope that my students feel as passionate about history as I do. Since earning my doctorate in history from UCLA in 2007, I've taught at a variety of universities around the country, including UCLA, the University of Minnesota, various California State University campuses, and several State University campuses in Massachusetts. I also teach onsite at Worcester State University, Framingham State University, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I've taught online for Southern New Hampshire University since 2013. All of that is to say that I love teaching history, and try to get myself in the classroom (virtual or onsite) whenever possible!
