Dr. Patricia Dwyer holds a BSN from Boston College, an MSN with a concentration in Nursing Education from Salem State University, and a PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Dwyer has dedicated herself to providing nursing care to surgical patients and their families throughout all phases of the perioperative experience. Her extensive clinical practice has fueled her research interests, particularly in exploring workforce issues and their effects on organizational dynamics and the emotional and physical well-being of nurses. Dr. Dwyer has authored numerous publications and presented her work at both national and international conferences.
As a nurse educator, Dr. Dwyer has taught in RN-BSN, undergraduate, and graduate nursing programs. She is passionate about helping students appreciate the importance of nursing research in improving patient care.
