Chief Philip DiBlasi joined Framingham State University Police Department as Chief of Police in March 2026. He started his career in 1994 as a patrol officer at Suffolk University in Boston, being promoted to Crime Prevention Officer and Patrol Sergeant. After ten years, he became a Lieutenant with the Wellesley College Police Department, a position he held until being promoted to Acting Chief of Police in 2020. In 2022, Chief DiBlasi was appointed as Chief of Police at MassBay Community College, a position he held until coming to Framingham.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Suffolk University and a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School. Chief DiBlasi has taught at the Special State Police Officers Academy in New Braintree, MA and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and sworn to practice before the United States District Court for the First Circuit.
