Dr. Shinho Kim earned a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, & Teacher Education from the Department of Educational Theory and Practice at the University of Georgia.
He previously taught preschool and kindergarten in both Korea and the United States. At Framingham State University, he primarily teaches courses in early childhood and elementary mathematics education. In addition, he teaches a variety of courses, including Education in American Society, the Role of Family in Child Development, and Family Theories.
His research and scholarship focus on robotics, STEM education, and instructional materials/strategies for young children. He also focuses on classroom teachers and the experiences of male teachers in early childhood and elementary education.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Kim has played the violin with the Metrowest Symphony Orchestra on the Framingham State University campus.
