Thomas Severo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, Law, and Global Studies, where he also serves as the university’s Pre-Law Advisor. He earned his B.A. from College of the Holy Cross and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. He values experiential education and draws on his legal practice to bring real-world perspectives into the classroom.
As a litigator, he has successfully advocated for educators like himself in immigration proceedings that addressed asylum, family-based petitions, and naturalization, as well as in employment claims that challenged actions taken on the basis of incomplete or inaccurate information.
And—over the course of his career—he has emphasized the importance of personnel record integrity alongside competent administrative decision-making.
