Dr. Mannam served as a faculty member for M.S. Food Science and Nutrition Science program since 2014. Currently, he is a graduate program advisor. He enjoys being a teacher, fine-tuning the balancing act of faculty to be a coach, expert, and guide to students interested in food science. Dr. Mannam's research includes optimizing food process conditions to produce high-quality and nutritional food products. He also studies product shelf life and through modeling conditions that accelerate food degradation and nutritional loss, emphasizing minimizing food loss and waste among perishable food products. Along with teaching and research, Dr. Mannam is active in food science education, extension, and outreach roles.
