Transfer Advising

What You Need To Do:

Before meeting with the Department Chair, there are a few steps you’ll need to complete to make sure you can access all our systems.

1. Confirm Your Enrollment

Once you submit your enrollment deposit, please allow 48 hours for your student accounts to fully activate.

2. Access Your FSU Email & Tech Accounts

After activation, you’ll receive information from IT about how to log in to:

  • Your Framingham State email
  • MyFramingham
  • Other essential student systems

Make sure you can sign in to your email/Myframingham before your appointment—this is where you’ll register for your first semester courses.

Having issues with logging in? Contact IT by either calling 508 215-5906 or sending an E-mail to it [at] framingham.edu (it[at]framingham[dot]edu).

3. Make Sure Your Transcripts Are Sent to Admissions

Before meeting with a Department Chair, make sure that all official transcripts, including any previous college coursework, AP scores, or dual enrollment credit, have been submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Having your transcripts on file ensures that your transfer credits can be reviewed properly and allows your Department Chair to help you choose the right courses for your first semester at FSU.

4. Scheduling Advising with Your Department Chair

You will receive an email from their Department Chair with instructions on how to book an advising appointment, so please keep an eye on your FSU email for next steps.

Need Help with Registering?

If you still have questions after meeting with your Department Chair or need extra help navigating the registration process, the Advising Center is here to support you. Once you’ve spoken with your Department Chair, you’re welcome to book an appointment with the Advising Center for additional guidance, troubleshooting, or help understanding your schedule.
