Undergraduate Certificate in Computer Programming Languages

The Certificate in Computer Programming is designed to provide students with competencies in multiple programming languages. Computer industries develop software and firmware products using various programming languages. Those employees with the knowledge and skills in a variety of programming languages are capable of participating in many projects the company develops. These flexibilities, wider skills, and abilities make such employees valuable assets to the company. This certificate program would also be very useful for those who are looking for a career change to the technology area.


The Certificate in Computer Programming teaches and trains students in the following languages: C++, Java, assembly language, HTML and JavaScript.

Prerequisite Courses (3)

  • CSCI 120 Introduction to Information Technology
  • CSCI 152 Computer Science I using JAVA
  • CSCI 252 Computer Science II using JAVA


Curriculum Requirements (4)
The following four (4) courses are required:

  • CSCI 108 HTML, JavaScript Programming, and Web Site Development
  • CSCI 271 Data Structures
  • CSCI 333 Object-Oriented Programming Using C++
  • CSCI 352 Computer Architecture and Assembly Language
