Undergraduate Certificate in Information Technology Fluency

The Certificate in Information Technology exposes students to everyday IT as encountered in the workplace and in the home. Students will gain fluency with the Windows Operating System; the internal environment of Microsoft Office; Internet research; issues of ethics and security; networks; and basic trouble-shooting.

Students will be able to complete the certificate in as little as two semesters.

  • Choose two (2) Electives from the following:
    • BUIS 200 Introduction to Business Systems
    • COMM 200 Design for Integrated Media
    • CSCI 108 HTML, JavaScript Programming, and Web Site Development
    • CSCI 140 Introduction to the Internet, Graphics, and Multimedia
    • CSCI 152 Computer Science I using Java
    • CSCI 258 Introduction to Operating Systems Using UNIX
    • GEOG 216 Introduction to Geographical Information Systems
