Overview

The Certificate in Enterprise Systems provides needed training in Enterprise computing to supply the shortage of mainframe-trained employees. The certificate consists of five courses identified at a round table discussion with Boston area IBM customers in need of mainframe knowledgeable employees.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the undergraduate certification, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to write programs in COBOL and Assembler Language.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of IBM Enterprise systems.

  • Address the purpose of security and explain why we use it.

  • Identify and apply the importance of programming techniques.

  • Identify and apply data management techniques and DB2's solution to various problems.
