Rams Finish Regular Season as MASCAC Champions
Framingham State University’s Football Team earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament after winning the Massachusetts Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Rams will be hosting LaGrange in a first-round game on Saturday, November 22nd.
The team is making its 7th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first since 2021.
Framingham State finished the 2025 regular season 7-3 overall and 7-2 in MASCAC. The Rams finished the regular season tied atop the MASCAC standings with Anna Maria and Plymouth State who also went 7-2 in MASCAC action. The Rams received the MASCAC's automatic qualification by virtue of the league's tiebreaker policy.
The Rams were led offensively by freshman quarterback Michael Marcucella who ranked second in the MASCAC in yards per game and touchdown passes. Wide receiver Mathias Fowler finished the regular season first in the league in touchdown receptions and second in yards per game.
This will be the first meeting between Framingham State and LaGrange College.
The Panthers finished the season 9-1 overall and perfect 7-0 in USA South play claiming their first conference championship since 2008.
