Dr. Bartholomew Brinkman is Professor of English and founding director of FSU’s Center for Digital Humanities. He is the author of Poetic Modernism in the Culture of Mass Print (Johns Hopkins, 2017), along with articles and essays on modern transatlantic poetry, print culture, periodical studies, and digital humanities. He is currently Project Director of a three-year National Endowment for the Humanities/Humanities Initiatives grant on Race and Digital Humanities (2022–2025) and directs the Modern American Poetry Site. He teaches courses in American literature, modern and contemporary poetry (including Black American poetry), digital humanities, and first-year writing.
