Lauren Nolfo-Clements is a field ecologist and academic administrator. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of New Jersey and her PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her academic research focuses on community ecology and biodiversity with a specialization in mammals – particularly wild rodent. She has held positions as a tenure track faculty member to the rank of professor, has chaired multiple academic departments, served as an associate dean of operations, and now a dean.
In all of her academic roles, Dean Nolfo-Clements has worked to design and create courses, curricula, programs, and spaces to enhance student collaboration and learning. She centers the student experience in all of her decision making.
Dean Nolfo-Clements’ vision for the College is to foster an inclusive and welcoming community focused on the teaching and learning of STEM concepts, practices, and skills. She strives to ensure that all community members are empowered to achieve their educational and professional goals as part of the College of STEM.
