Maria Quilis serves as the Outreach Coordinator of English Language Programs & Community Education. She joined FSU after 19 years working with multinational companies in Europe and the USA. Maria brings to the English Language Programs her background in internal and external communications, corporate responsibility, and management of international corporate projects in the US, Canada, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, France, and Poland. Her international experience made her aware of the challenges international students face when studying a new language or arriving in a new country. In her position she enjoys advising students how to advance their English with the aim of improving their well-being and achieving their academic goals. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a concentration in public relations and advertising from Antonio de Nebrija University in Madrid, Spain. In her spare time, she enjoys long walks and watching movies with her family. She loves practicing sports, especially swimming and yoga.
