Dr. Courchesne is the Director of Academic Technology and Instructional Design with the Education Technology Office at Framingham State. Prior to that, he was the instructional designer for nine years. Steve is passionate about instructional design and how to create and deliver effective and equitable learning experiences. In 2023, he completed an Ed.D. program at Johns Hopkins University with a specialization in Mind, Brain and Teaching. Steve’s dissertation research focused on helping college students to self-regulate their learning. Before coming to FSU, he worked for Human Rights Education Associates (HREA) for seven years, managing HREA’s eLearning team and providing guidance to more than fifty course instructors in HREA’s network. He also led the production of self-directed e-learning courses for HREA and partners. Steve is originally from Montreal, Canada.
