A group of art students lie on the carpet of Framingham State University’s planetarium inside the Christa Corrigan McAuliffe Center, relaxed and awestruck as they critique their paintings, which are being projected onto the dome. The resources in the state-of-the-art facility – which also include a fully-immersive NASA Briefing Room, Space Station, VR Simulation Room, and Mission Control – are used by classes across a wide-range of disciplines to bring their subjects to life.
The McAuliffe Center – created in honor of beloved Framingham State alumna Christa McAuliffe ‘70, the first teacher in space – is just one example of what sets the FSU experience apart. The Danforth Art Museum is another. Home to a Permanent Collection with more than 3,500 objects focused on American art from the 19th century to the present day, it also hosts an exciting rotation of regional artists and sometimes the work of our own students.
Beyond the University’s amazing Centers and Institutes, FSU provides a personalized academic experience you won’t find at a larger college. We boast small class sizes taught by faculty who are invested in your success.
Our location is as good as it gets – just 20 minutes from Boston on a beautiful New England campus surrounded by innovative, industry-leading companies located up and down Route 9. Internships are essential to the FSU experience, and our Office of Career Development is ready to help find the right one for you.
But don’t just take our word for it – come visit us and see for yourself why Framingham State University provides the best value education in the region.
