Undeclared/Exploratory
Students who enter FSU as Undeclared receive dedicated support from our Professional Advisors in the Advising Center. Your advisor will help you explore your interests, strengths, and academic goals while introducing you to different majors and academic pathways. You’ll work together to build schedules that keeps your options open and ensures you’re completing courses that count toward different programs.
As an Undeclared student, you have until the end of your sophomore year to officially declare a major, giving you time to explore your interests and find the best academic fit. We highly encourage students to meet with Career Development early on to learn more about different career paths and majors connected to your strengths. Career Development also offers the Strong Interest Inventory, which can help you better understand your interests and guide your decision‑making as you work toward choosing a major!
